I absolutely love the quality of the leather. I would have preferred actual suede on the seat, and not microsuede (like on couches) for the price point, but it is super duper pretty, still. I love the narrow twist of the seat, and it is breaking in and becoming more comfortable. It is lovely to be able to adjust the gullet to fit my horse, and I do love the style, not that it is in person. I originally wanted western, but I ride in a 16, and my horse is only 14.1 with a shorter back. I really needed something short, and light, and still western look, and this fit the bill perfectly. I remember first seeing them on the market some years ago, the campo's first, and then these. And I wanted to try one so badly! I wasn't able to ever see one in person, but after hearing other reviews from riders I went for it. I have a really messed up back, and tried so long to ride in something that was treeless for my horses growing back, but I just couldn't find anything that fit us both, that didn't give me severe back pain. I've had this saddle for 2 weeks, and I'm not sure why, but after riding in this, my back feels better. I suffer from sciatica, and last year I was laid low in bed for weeks, but I'm only 46 and feel like I have so much more left to do on the back of a horse :) I'm hoping this saddle allows me to keep going while I heal from my sciatica and strengthen my back. OH and almost most importantly, my horse loves it. And she is a true princess and the pea when it comes to stuff she doesn't like! I've tried so many saddles on her, english treed, western, treeless, and this one is perfect!
